Edmonton Oilers Back in the Playoffs After 11 Years
After a long 11-year drought, the Edmonton Oilers are finally back in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Oilers clinched a playoff berth with a 5-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday night. It is the team's first playoff appearance since 2006.
The Oilers have been one of the most exciting teams in the NHL this season, led by Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. McDavid is the reigning Hart Trophy winner as the league's most valuable player, and Draisaitl is a leading candidate for the award this season.
The Oilers will open the playoffs on Wednesday night against the Winnipeg Jets.
